The story

The boardroom on the top floor convenes at midnight, but the ones who take the chairs are older than the company, older than the grid of lights glittering forty storeys below. Elders Boardroom Drums imagines that meeting: hand drums where the minutes should be, a low chant in place of an agenda, glass walls sweating with something that is not the air conditioning. The skyline waits outside like a junior employee who has not been invited in.

The sound is ceremonial tribal downtempo, 93 BPM in F sharp minor, and it moves like a procession rather than a groove. Layered hand percussion carries the floor, a deep chant vocal circles overhead, and industrial undertones — ventilation hum, distant elevator cable — keep the ancient and the corporate pressed against the same glass. Nothing accelerates; authority here is a matter of patience, and the drums have more of it than any quarterly calendar.

Taken out of its tower, the track becomes tribal percussion for meditation — a grounding pulse steady enough to structure an entire sitting without a single spoken cue, deep enough that the mind has something to lean against. It serves just as well as ancestral drumming for slow breathwork, each phrase long enough to inhale through and return from, and as a soundtrack for unhurried evening stretching when the day needs to be formally adjourned rather than simply abandoned at its desk.

When the meeting ends there is no vote and no summary; the drums simply stop, and the decision has somehow been made. Dr.DIO keeps the track in the ritual rotation of the 24/7 radio at drdio.studio, where it anchors the slower ceremonial hours of the night. The video version — firelight reflected in dark office glass, forty storeys of it — premieres on the official Dr.DIO YouTube channel.

Candlelit meditation, slow breathwork, grounding evening ceremonies, unhurried stretching in low light.

Lyrics

[Verse 1]
Towers of glass and steel I built
Papers signed in quiet guilt
Money flows like rivers wide
But my heart beats with the tide

[Pre-Chorus]
In the silence of the night
Ancient voices call me right
Back to forests dark and deep
Where the old ones never sleep

[Chorus]
Ahh ahh ahh
Drums beneath the concrete floor
Ahh ahh ahh
Shaman blood inside my core
Ahh ahh ahh
Empire fades but earth remains
Ahh ahh ahh
Roots run deeper than my chains

[Verse 2]
Meetings held in marble halls
Echoes sound like ritual calls
Every deal a sacrifice
Paying nature's ancient price

[Pre-Chorus]
In the silence of the night
Ancient voices call me right
Back to forests dark and deep
Where the old ones never sleep

[Chorus]
Ahh ahh ahh
Drums beneath the concrete floor
Ahh ahh ahh
Shaman blood inside my core
Ahh ahh ahh
Empire fades but earth remains
Ahh ahh ahh
Roots run deeper than my chains

[Bridge]
Ahh ahh ahh ahh
Old man in a young man's game
Ahh ahh ahh ahh
Forgotten is the sacred name
Ahh ahh ahh ahh
But the drum remembers still
Ahh ahh ahh ahh

[Outro]
Ahh ahh ahh
Returning to the primal will
Ahh ahh ahh
