The story

The track opens low, almost buried. A rolling sub-bass sits under everything at 30-60Hz, constant and round, the kind you feel in the sternum before you notice any melody. Hand-played toms tap out a loose ceremonial pulse and a distant duduk drifts in from the edges, more shadow than instrument, setting the scene before the beat properly arrives.

Once the four-on-floor kick locks in, a 16th-note arpeggiator starts circling, dark and playful, detuned stabs cutting through just enough to keep the hook restless. Vocoded chant pads spread wide across the stereo field, wordless and airy, less voice than texture, breathing behind the arp like a choir dissolved into synthesis. The Juno-60 pad underneath keeps it warm, analog, slightly worn at the edges.

Midway through, the track pulls back into a breakdown: arp and pad only, the sub-bass thinned out, space opening up around the chant. It's the held breath before the drop. When the kick and bass return, a supersaw stack rides on top, glossy and wide, pushing the whole thing into an euphoric, almost trance-lit peak while the low end stays disciplined, sidechain keeping the pressure controlled rather than aggressive.

The last stretch is a long fade, the arp looping down, pads thinning, chant echoes trailing off into the low hum of the sub. Nothing ends abruptly here; it just recedes, leaving the room a little warmer than it found it.

Late-night drives, warehouse sets, deep-focus work sessions, or the last hour before sunrise on a long night out.
