The story

It starts low, almost below hearing, a sub-bass pressure that sits under everything like the hum of a tunnel. The doom bass rolls in slow half-time, thick and detuned, while a shoegaze wall of reverb smears out at the edges. Nothing hurries. The pulse is there, 87 beats a minute, but it feels slower, like walking through fog under concrete.

Around the two-minute mark the 303 starts to squelch through the haze, phonk-style, dirty and warped, threading a melodic line where a vocal might sit.
