The story

It opens dense, almost overcrowded: shoegaze guitar wash bleeding into Hammond B3 chords, sub-bass sitting under everything at 30-60Hz like pressure behind the eyes. The 909 kit is softened to brush strokes, quarter notes only, no clicks, no rim. Everything moves at 67 BPM, slow enough that each chord change feels like a decision being made in real time.

Around the middle the arp enters, a hypnotic filter-mod line that loops under the organ without resolving. The walking bass stays warm and sustained, more felt than heard, while the guitar wash thins into long reverb tails. Dub-chord stabs punctuate rather than drive, spaced out, letting silence do part of the work.

The arc is a deconstruction: layers peel back one at a time. First the guitar goes, then the organ thins to a single held note, until it's mostly kick, sub, and the arp ticking alone in a cavernous reverb tail. The mix stays wide and deep throughout, no harsh top end, just air and low-end weight.

By the close there's almost nothing left but the pulse and the cold. It doesn't build to a climax so much as it erodes down to bone, ending on the same breathing bass that opened it, four minutes later and considerably more bare.

Late-night drives with no destination, studio work after midnight, insomnia at 3am, or scoring a scene in your head that never gets filmed.
