The story

The track opens low and stays there, a sub-bass hum sitting under 60Hz that never fully lifts. A dub-techno chord washes in filtered and distant, like something heard through a wall two rooms away. The upright bass walks slow and warm beneath it, sustained notes bending the silence rather than filling it.

Around the two-minute mark the duduk enters, thin and mournful, pitched just enough off-center to feel like a memory rather than a melody. A muted trumpet answers it in fragments, never resolving, while sparse Rhodes chords blink in and out like a light with a loose wire. The drums stay soft-attack throughout, rounded and hushed, more felt than heard.

The witch supersaw arrives detuned and chopped, pitched down until it growls rather than sings, cutting through the dub haze in short bursts before folding back into the drone bed. Reverb tails stretch long here, cavernous, giving the impression of a room much larger than the sound itself.

By the final third everything breathes together, swelling and receding in slow pulses, the sub-bass constant, the duduk fading to a whisper, the chord stabs thinning out until only the low drone remains, holding the space empty and still.

Late-night drives with no destination, dim studio work, film-noir scenes in your head, or the last hour before sleep when the house goes quiet.
