Dr.DIO · Music licenses

A music license for every use, from one studio

All 2,000+ tracks on Dr.DIO are written and produced by our own studio and none of them is registered with ASCAP, BMI, PRS, PPL or any other collecting society. That is why the license is simple: you pay us once for the use you need, and nobody else sends a bill.

Which license do I need

  • Your own videos, streams and podcasts: Creator, free with the credit line or in the Club without it.
  • Music in a cafe, shop, salon, office or hotel: Business, one price per venue, a certificate in its name, the first days free.
  • DJ sets and radio shows: DJ downloads, a full-quality file per track with its own license number.
  • Ads, corporate videos, films, games and client work: the commercial license, priced per project.

What royalty free means here

You pay for the license, not per play. There are no reports to fill in and no society comes after the venue or the channel, because no Dr.DIO track is in any society's catalogue.

Every license has a number and a certificate you can show to a platform, a client or an inspector.

What stays with us

  • The tracks themselves: you cannot resell, re-upload or register them as your own.
  • Content ID and rights databases: do not register the music anywhere.
  • Changing the music into a new track: remixes need a written agreement.

The credit line for the free plan

Put it in the description of every video or episode that uses the track:

Questions

Is Dr.DIO music royalty free?

Yes in the usual sense: you pay once for the license and never per play. No Dr.DIO track is registered with ASCAP, BMI, PRS, PPL or any other collecting society, so there are no society fees on top.

Do I get a document?

Every license has a number in your account and a certificate: for a venue with its name and address, for a video with the track title, for a project with the client's name.

Can I use one license for several uses?

Each use has its own license: a cafe owner who also runs a YouTube channel needs Business for the room and Creator for the channel.

What happens if a platform flags the track?

Write to us with the license number. We answer the platform, because the rights are ours and nobody else's.
