The story

Around it, muted percussion breathes in place of hits — soft-attack thuds standing in for kicks, hydraulic hisses instead of hi-hats. Nothing here is sharp. By the second minute the arp_2600 starts speaking. It's not a lead in the usual sense — more a metallic creature phrasing through the reverb tails, bending pitch like it's negotiating with the machine around it. Detuned EBM stabs answer back in short bursts, and conveyor-belt glitches stutter the rhythm without ever breaking its four-four spine. The sidechain pump ducks everything on the beat, giving the whole thing a lung, an inhale-exhale that keeps 118 BPM feeling slower than it is.
Midway through, a filter sweep opens up gradually, pulling a dub-chord stab up out of the murk until it hangs there, ringing in the cavernous space before folding back into hum and clang. This is the closest the track gets to a chorus — a widening, a held breath — before the machinery pulls it back down into the rumble.
The last stretch strips back toward just sub, hum, and the arp's last phrases, fading like the factory floor emptying out.
