The story

An aircraft hangar exhales at first light: the doors grind apart, the night's condensation lifts off the floor in one slow sheet, and vapor rises through cold steel beams exactly as the vocal promises it will. Hangar Dawn Exhale starts inside that held breath — pale sky pushing through the widening gap, pads glowing like frost catching sun, a voice half-sung and half-evaporated. Then the drums arrive, and the whole structure starts to move.

Movement is the point. The track runs atmospheric drum and bass at 172 BPM in F minor, breaks slicing underneath long cosmic pads so that speed and stillness occupy the same bar without argument. The vocal drifts above the kit like exhaust in cold air, dissolving into reverb every time the bass swells back beneath it. For four minutes the industrial and the celestial keep trading places — rivets and gantries below, open sky above — until it stops being clear which one the song belongs to.

It plays as farewell music with a pulse: dissolution you can run to. As fast breakbeat for night runs it turns streetlights into runway markers ticking past; as high-tempo bass for night training it makes the final set feel like a takeoff roll, commitment measured in metres of floor. And when the pace finally breaks, the outro pulls the same trick as morning itself — everything hard turns to vapor, and the vapor climbs.

The song ends with the hangar empty and the doors still open, which is about as close to hope as an industrial farewell gets. Dr.DIO routes it through both the cosmic and workout streams of the 24/7 radio at drdio.studio, where it lands like a sunrise with drums in it. The video version — steam, steel and slow morning light — premieres on the official Dr.DIO YouTube channel.

Night runs under open sky, pre-dawn training blocks, high-intensity sets, cooldown walks watching the stars fade.

«Hangar Dawn Exhale» is an instrumental piece at 172 BPM in F Minor, running 5:13, released May 09, 2026. It streams in the Cosmic Drift and Workout rotations on Dr.DIO Radio — free, 24/7, with new music added daily.

Lyrics

[Verse 1]
Steel bones rise in silence
Cold light through the cracks
My breath becomes vapor
Ghost of who I was

[Pre-Chorus]
Empty halls remember
Echoes fade to void
Last transmission ending
Silver turning grey

[Chorus]
I exhale the orbit
Watch it drift away
Concrete cathedral holding
Shadows of yesterday
I exhale the orbit
Frost upon my skin
Morning breaks the hangar
I dissolve within

[Verse 2]
Footsteps on the metal
Reverb tells no lies
Every word unspoken
Hangs between the beams

[Pre-Chorus]
Empty halls remember
Echoes fade to void
Last transmission ending
Silver turning grey

[Chorus]
I exhale the orbit
Watch it drift away
Concrete cathedral holding
Shadows of yesterday
I exhale the orbit
Frost upon my skin
Morning breaks the hangar
I dissolve within

[Bridge]
Ahh… ahh…
(Cold dawn witness)
Ahh… ahh…
(Vapor fading)

[Chorus]
I exhale the orbit
Watch it drift away
Concrete cathedral holding
Shadows of yesterday
I exhale the orbit
Frost upon my skin
Morning breaks the hangar
I dissolve within

[Outro]
Steel remembers nothing
Light dissolves the trace
I was here
I was
