The story
Somewhere around the tenth revolution the staircase stops pretending to have a bottom. The lamps are spaced exactly one turn apart, so the light never changes, only repeats. Whatever waits below is patient — and so, the track insists, are you. Descending stops being movement and becomes a state. You could stop at any landing, in theory. Nobody ever does.
The engine of it is dark hypnotic techno at 124 BPM in F# Minor: a rolling kick that never varies, a bass figure that slips one degree lower with every phrase, and mesmeric synth loops that phase against each other like footsteps echoing slightly out of step.
