The story

Telegraph Wires runs at 104 BPM in A minor, a crisp Stratocaster arpeggio looping through a ping-pong delay set against the beat so the pattern seems to move at two different speeds simultaneously. A 909 kit and round bass hold a steady motorik groove underneath, the rhythmic engine staying constant even as the delayed arpeggio creates its own shifting sense of tempo above it.

Palm-muted chugs answer the arpeggio at regular intervals, slide bends open each new section with a small dramatic gesture, and harmonics sparkle briefly over the top of the denser passages. The first climax stacks a counter-melody directly onto the looping arpeggio before everything strips back to the dry guitar pattern alone, hypnotic and completely bare.

An extended mid-section introduces a second theme built from long sustained bends, contrasting with the arpeggio's busier, faster motion underneath it. The final section runs arpeggio, counter-melody, and bends together at once, brighter and wider than anything earlier, before a reprise of the bare loop leads into the slow outro fade at the very end of the wire.

A retro night highway drive, motorik-inspired instrumental sets, a vintage sci-fi visual, or focused rhythmic listening.

«Telegraph Wires» is a retroepic piece at 104 BPM in A minor, running 4:04, released August 02, 2026. It streams in the Night Drive rotation on Dr.DIO Radio — free, 24/7, with new music added daily.
