The story
Viola Diesel drives forward at 118 BPM in C minor on the same locomotive-groove foundation as its companion pieces, palm-muted guitar chugging under deep kick and a walking melodic bass that never lets the momentum drop across its shorter running time. The overdriven viola once again takes the lead role, its rasping tone trading phrases directly with a driven Les Paul guitar throughout.
Glitch edits stutter the viola at every transition point, and a tape stop briefly kills the entire groove just ahead of the drop, a jolt that resets the listener's sense of momentum before the track surges forward again. Whammy dives and pinch harmonics continue to mark structural turns, the filter sweep opening the second half wider than the first.
The first climax again runs viola and guitar in tight unison, followed by a long pit that leaves the viola dry and exposed on its own. Given its more compact running time, the second-half role inversion arrives sooner here, pushing toward its final climax at a faster overall pace than the fuller version of this idea, the walking bass staying locked throughout.
A shorter driving-instrumental fix, a quick workout track, an unconventional string listening session, or focused sprint work.
