The story

Around the second minute the sul ponticello line creeps in, thin and metallic against the fat warm bass underneath. It's a haunting texture, bowed and brittle, cutting through the murk without ever getting bright or harsh. Detuned bell decays trail behind it, dissolving into the reverb tail like light losing its way down.
The groove stays minimal throughout — soft rounded percussion, rolling hi-hats that never sharpen into a click, chain accents ticking somewhere off to the side.
