When Focus@Will is the better choice
Focus@Will has a long history, running since 2013, and offers classical channels, which Dr.DIO does not have. It also works with Sonos; Dr.DIO has no Sonos integration.
Its price is modest, $7.49 a month or $52.49 a year according to a February 2026 third party article.
When Dr.DIO fits better
When we checked on 22 October 2026, the Focus@Will pricing page returned an error and its iOS app had not been updated since version 58.1.1 in August 2022. If you want a service in active development, Dr.DIO launched in 2026 and keeps adding music.
Dr.DIO radio is free with no ads. Stations such as Deep Focus, Cinematic and Deep Groove change with the hour of the day, and 119 hour long mixes in 4K play on YouTube.
The music is electronic and ambient only, from one studio, so there is no classical or pop.
How to try Dr.DIO
- Open drdio.studio and press play on the station for the current hour.
- Install the iPhone app from the App Store, or listen in CarPlay.
- Sign in with Google or Apple for a free account with skips, likes and playlists.
- Choose Club at $2.99 a month for offline listening, or a personal stream link for any player.
