The story

Weightless Hollow keeps its 67 BPM in F# minor almost entirely below the surface, the dominant sub-bass carrying the track while a synth lead phrases slow, expressive lines in place of any voice. A damped, prepared piano and a Moog Taurus sub oscillator trade sparse gestures across a wide stereo field. Nothing here announces itself loudly; every gesture stays close to the noise floor by design.

As the piece develops, granular textures evolve into pad swells that never resolve, and a hollow room-tone opens up under distant piano whispers. Machine hum sits low and constant, field-recorded tape hiss fills the gaps, and the sense of a large, empty space grows more pronounced with every passing minute. The pacing never quickens, letting each new texture arrive slowly rather than cutting in abruptly.

Later a Franklin glass armonica rings out in bowed, ethereal tones, joined by a resonant kalimba and warbled vinyl wow-flutter that pulls the pitch slightly off center. A reversed vocal sample drifts through near the close, ghostly and wordless, before the sub-bass carries the track out at the same unhurried tempo. The tempo stays exactly where it started, the closing bars offering no resolution, only fade.

For meditation sits, overnight studio sessions, decompressing after a hard day, or reading in a dim room past midnight.
