The story

Koto plucks arrive scattered and unhurried, single notes that decay into the reverb long enough to overlap with the next. Felt piano answers in soft clusters, muted hammers giving every chord rounded edges. Nothing here has a hard attack. Toms are hand-played and low in the mix, keeping a ceremonial pulse rather than a beat, brushing past at 95 BPM like a slow procession.
Around the midpoint the pads widen, a glossy drone thickening under the koto line, filters sweeping open by degrees so the change is felt before it's noticed.
